Over the last few years I've had dreadful trouble with, 'Creator's Block' and I'm still working on how to 'get my mojo' back again. I haven't painted anything for a while and am toying with writing, poems, sketches etc, but all that just doesn't 'do it' for me... I found the book 'The Artist's Way' by Julia Cameron (especially pages 34 onwards about Affirmations and Blurts) to be very revealing as to what is stopping me from being creative - and I can feel the constriction around my neck as I'm writing this - my 'Inner Critic' or as I call him/her 'The Judge'. I've just been looking at your gallery - as usual, some incredible natural world photos - I especially like the fungi - there's something kind of 'other worldly' about them....or maybe I've just seen Alice in Wonderland one too many times. We've just moved to the outskirts of Glasgow and over the last few months I've seen some amazing fungi - I just wish I know what they were and if any were good to eat! Anyway, I digress - I hope life's good with you - mine's all about my 14 month old, Matilda and doing my Masters in Psychological Studies, urgh, am just attempting the final dissertation now.....

When I first got into, well started noticing fungi, I really got deep into the mycological world, I was curious of the scientific perspectives too, which in turn where even more astonishing.
A passion after a while, yet at first, your under a spell. A true, mushroom hunter! The beauty and mystic, or should I say, alien-type characteristics are fascinating!
Amazing that you are continuing your studies, honourable, great that you find the time to paint and do what you enjoy too.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! re: Website and Music album that's soooooo great - I'm so envious - wonderful endeavours - I bet you've been busy!!!!! And - Awesome Mushroom Hunter stuff - I really understand - they're the flora at the 'gateway' or 'threshold' of the imagination.....the great unconscious - for me anyway - so I totally get what you mean!
re: studies - it's a 'Physician heal thyself kinda deal" but there's also "A Doctor who treats herself has a fool for a patient" haven't settled on either - think it might be a mix of both - as there is always 'the Wise Fool'......

hahaaaaa!!!! THE IMAGICIAN LIVES!!!!! I STARTED A PAINTING on Saturday and worked on it from 2 til 6 today....I've put a cover of it just now as it keeps whispering to me... paint me...paint me... you know what I mean? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Well, here's hoping I havent whooped too soon but it felt soooooooooooo good to do it again... phew. I thought I'd lost her!
